Disclosures
The basis for every number, screenshot and claim on this site, how payment-method pricing works, and whose trademarks appear in the product.

1. Numbers and examples
Figures are illustrations of how the software works, not a promise of results. What you experience depends on your prices, your market and how you use the product.
Product screens are illustrations. Names, jobs and amounts shown are fictional and do not depict real customers or results.
2. One price for card and bank payments
With DropclothOS, the homeowner pays the same invoice amount whether they pay by card or by bank payment (ACH). There is no card surcharge, no bank-payment discount, and no processing fee added to the homeowner's bill. Card and ACH processing fees are paid by the contractor, out of the payout, and received by the payments partner, passed through at cost; DropclothOS keeps none of them. DropclothOS takes the same 1% of the invoice amount whichever way the homeowner pays.
State law and network rules change. This table is a summary for information only and is not legal advice; how you bill your customers is your decision and your responsibility. See the Terms, section 4.
3. Payments
Payment processing, payout timing, underwriting, risk decisions and card-network fees are provided by our third-party payments partner under its terms, which you accept at signup. You open a payment account in your own business's name; DropclothOS is the software platform on that account and is not the merchant of record on your sales. The partner verifies your identity, business and bank details before paying out and may request documents, delay a payout, hold a reserve, or decline or close an account under its own rules. Not every applicant is approved, some businesses it does not accept, and payments features require an approved payment account.
- Card data is tokenized at checkout and handled by our PCI DSS-certified payments partner. DropclothOS is not a PCI-certified entity and does not receive or store full card numbers.
- Funds settle into a payment account in your name. We are not a bank, we do not hold customer funds, and no deposit insurance applies to anything we do.
- You open a payment account in your own business's name and accept the payments partner's terms. DropclothOS is the software platform on that account, collects its 1% as a platform fee, and is not the merchant of record on your sales — you are the seller, and the work, warranty and refunds are yours.
- Approval, payout timing, reserves, disputes and account closure are the payments partner's decisions under its own underwriting and risk rules. Not every applicant is approved, and some business types the partner does not accept.
- The payment account is opened through the DropclothOS platform, so it does not transfer to another software platform if you leave. Pending payouts still settle to your bank and your records still export.
- DropclothOS does not provide credit, lending, or money-transmission services.
4. Trademarks
All third-party names, logos, color names and color codes are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification only. DropclothOS is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by them. Tap to Pay on iPhone and Apple Pay are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Tap to Pay on iPhone requires iPhone XS or later and an eligible payment account.
Color references in the product exist so you and your customer can agree on a color your supplier can mix. Color names and codes belong to the manufacturers that created them; we reference them for identification and matching only, and we do not represent that any on-screen color is an accurate reproduction of a physical paint sample. Monitors vary — always confirm against a physical sample or drawdown before purchase.
5. Not a franchise
DropclothOS is a usage-based software service, not a franchise, a business opportunity, or a licence to use anyone else's brand. We grant no territory, no exclusivity and no trade name, and we take no royalty.
Marketing language on this site compares the operational tooling a national brand has to the tooling DropclothOS gives an independent owner. It is not an offer of a franchise or business opportunity, and no territory, exclusivity, brand licence or required payment beyond software fees is part of what we sell.
6. Not professional advice
DropclothOS is software. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting, payroll, insurance or licensing advice, and nothing here is an offer, a quote, or a guarantee of a specific outcome. Consult your own professionals.
Content about labor rates, workers’ compensation, prevailing wage, certified payroll, insurance, licensing and taxes is general information written for painting contractors. Rules differ by state and by contract, and only your own adviser can tell you what applies to you.
7. Pricing promises in one place
DropclothOS is a digital-payments system: job payments are collected through DropclothOS and DropclothOS charges 1.0% of the invoice principal on every payment collected, regardless of payment method, taken as a platform fee out of the payment as it settles. Bookings require a $25 deposit to hold the appointment, credited to the customer's job. If you refund a customer, our fee on that amount is refunded to you. Card-processing, payout and dispute fees charged by our payments partner are separate from our fee and are passed through without markup.
